#BeautyFind: L'Oreal Mat Magique

#BeautyFind : L'Oreal Mat Magique
All-In-One Matte Transforming Powder
SPF 34 PA +++ 12H Shine Resistant

At the moment, I'm using an expensive face powder and admittedly, it's not practical to use on a daily basis.  Then I learned about L'oreal Mat Magique All-In-One Matte Transforming Powder, a 12-hour matte foundation that promises to keep the face shine-free and flawless without need to retouch! aaannnnd it's only P499.00!

Q: Why is it called an "All-In-One Matte Transforming Powder"?
Because it...

1. PRIMES
Shine-free skin canvas for a skin-balancing preparation.

2, COVERS
Minimize appearance of all blemishes and skin imperfections.

3. PERFECTS
Ultra-smooth poreless skin transformation, a refined airy smoothing finish.

Imagine that?

Q: May it be used with other products?
Yes. Although it may be used alone, this product can also be applied evenly over BB Cream or liquid foundation.

So here's my first attempt on L'Oreal Mat Magique powder I only applied a thin layer of powder using the sponge included in the compact.
Let's see if it'll live up to its promise of 12-hour shine-free and flawless face without the need to retouch! Keep reading =)

It's 2:27 pm and I'm sleepy hehe BUT can't sleep with makeup on!

4:28 pm: Getting ready for dinner out with family. Look! I still don't need to   retouch.

BEAUTY VERDICT:

Exactly after 6 hours, my eyeliner, blush on and lipstick already faded but L'Oreal Mat Magique lives up to its promise! Shine-free and flawless-looking face without retouch! I am so gonna hoard more of this!

If you're too lazy to apply primer and concealer, this product is for you! Aside from that, at P499.00 it's good value for money, too. I finally found a face powder that could be used daily without hurting my pocket!

What are you waiting for? Go try it and #BelieveInMagique!

2014 Makeup Workshops by Beauty Bloggers

2014 Makeup Workshops by Beauty Bloggers

Way back in 2011, I’ve followed only one Makeup and Beauty Guru in Youtube, that is Bubz Beauty. She’s a Chinese-Irish Youtuber who does makeup and skincare tutorials.
Maybe because I was busy in law school that time, I never knew that the advent of Filipina Makeup Gurus and Beauty Bloggers in the Philippines came in the same year. Only this year did I learn about them  when I saw Ana Victorino as I was searching for Korean makeup tutorial in Youtube.
I followed Ana on Facebook and Instagram. Knowing that there’s no way that I could meet Ana in person, I watched her Youtube videos over and over again not only because she’s very good at what she does but also because she’s really pretty.

BASIC MAKEUP WORKSHOP (Bridal and Bombshell)
with Ana and Noe
May 24, 2014

Then  one day, I saw this post on Facebook aaaaaaand I need not think twice (swooned)!!!

…that's how it all started =)

So that means, I get to meet not one but two beautiful and talented Youtube makeup gurus!!! Without a second thought, I reserved a slot for the workshop.

Noe Mae Villagonzalo of Color Is My Weapon joined Ana in this workshop. She taught us how to achieve Bombshell makeup look.
This girl is so funny! Her personality makes her even more beautiful.

and of course, Ana Victorino of Makeup by Ana Patricia. This sweetheart, on the other hand, taught us how to do Bridal makeup. She looks stunning! No wonder she's my girl crush.

Certificates were presented to participants + loot bags

ADVANCED MAKEUP WORKSHOP BY PAINT BOX ARTISTRY
with Elaiza and Tere
June 15, 2014

I didn't take photos during the workshop 'cause I'm not feeling well.  But since this is a makeup workshop, I still need to come no matter what hehe

The venue was crowded with girls eager to learn Advance Makeup.

I remember there's this pretty lady (wearing blue top and pigtails) that caught my attention. She's wearing a nerdy big-framed eyeglasses but still stood out of the crowd. I found out later that she's Theresa Jose, a makeup artist and model. If I only knew then, I might have taken a selfie with her.

BROW PARTY
with Ana
July 6, 2014

Yes, I attended a separate workshop for eyebrow grooming hehe

Were it not for this workshop, I wouldn't know that there's such thing as eyebrow-trimming  and eyebrow mascara! I have VERY thick eyebrows. When I trimmed them for the first time, it felt like "wow! so my eyebrows could look this amazing!" haha and I was really amazed how an eyebrow mascara matched my hair color.

This is embarrassing but worth-sharing. I've been dyeing my hair for the longest time. One day I thought that maybe I would look prettier if my eyebrows match my hair color. So what I did was applied a small amount of hair dye to my eyebrows the same time that I dyed my hair. The result? horrible! I looked a lot older with lighter eyebrows!! I regret it very much! If only I had knew then about eyebrow mascara,  I wouldn't have dyed my eyebrows.

MAKE UP FOR EVER x Mikki Galang Makeup Party
December 29, 2014

I only learned about this event a day before. It's for free but according to the promo ads, registration via phone to reserve a slot is required. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to register.

BUT, if there's a will, there' a way =) I went to SM Megamall anyway.

At around 2 pm, some make up artists started arranging the venue. I approached one of them and asked whether registration was required to join the workshop. He asked a lady, whom I learned later on as the branch manager, and he came back with a good news! No registration is required but he asked me to come back before 4 pm which is the scheduled time of the workshop. Yeeeeey!!!

While waiting for Mikki, MUFE offered participants with refreshments (chocolates, candies and fruit juice).

It's my first to meet Mikki so I was very excited. I know her only as a Partner Blogger of Sample Room.

To start with, the branch manager of MUFE SM Megamall told us a brief history of MUFE. What amazed me so much was when she pointed at the displayed photo below. Would you believe that the model isn't wearing any clothes and that velvety outfit she seems wearing is all makeup!

More photos below. You'll see how hands-on Mikki was during the workshop. So love her!

Korean Makeup Workshop
with Shebby Chic

Honestly, I was hesitant to attend to this workshop because I think I already know how to achieve Korean mekeup look. But, I wanna meet Shebby personally, so I registered.

If there's somebody who is an expert in Korean makeup look, that would be Shebby.

The owners of Rucy's Vanity were very accommodating. They prepared Korean snacks and coffee for everyone.

That's Aunt Rucy :) She requested for a selfie.

So there you have it. I'm looking forward to attending more makeup workshop in the future or maybe take a formal course in makeup artistry =) (Why not? hehe)
